Segovia Guided Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll begin our guided tour of Segovia under the iconic Roman aqueduct.
From there, we'll stroll along Calle Real, Segovia's most important street, discovering notable sites such as Plaza de Medina del Campo, where we'll see the Romanesque church of San Martín from the outside. Did you know that it was built in 1117?
The walk will continue through Plaza del Corpus towards the old Main Synagogue of Segovia. After passing by its main entrance, we'll go to Plaza Mayor to admire the exterior architecture of the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y San Frutos. Do you know why it is known as "the lady of cathedrals"? We'll find out!
From the cathedral, we'll head to our last stop, where we'll take a guided tour of the interior of the Alcázar of Segovia, a unique monument declared a World Heritage Site. Inside this ancient palace, which was used as a temporary residence by various Spanish monarchs, we'll see its throne room.
We'll also admire its beautiful Mudejar coffered ceiling and other works of art left behind by various monarchs from the Trastámara and Habsburg dynasties. We'll also visit the Royal Artillery College Museum, located on one side of the parade ground.
Finally, after a 1-hour and 45-minute tour, we'll conclude the tour at the main entrance to the Alcázar of Segovia.
